Towards a Reliable French Speech Recognition Tool for an Automated Diagnosis of Learning Disabilities

🎉 Excited to share our participation and presentation at the recent conference SmartNets 2024 in James Madison University held from May 28th to May 30th, where we introduced our research paper titled « Towards a Reliable French Speech Recognition Tool for an Automated Diagnosis of Learning Disabilities » co-authored by Félix Jobin, Younes K, Christine Turgeon, Ph.D, and Foutse Khomh. This work is the result of a partnership between hashtag#LRIMa, Collège de Maisonneuve, Polytechnique Montréal, Université Laval and PhonIA.io.

The discussions with experts in the field were incredibly insightful and inspiring.

I had the honor of serving as the track chair for two technical tracks: « Advances in Communications & Networking II » and « AI/ML for Safety, Healthcare & Smart Apps III ».

A big thank you to the organizers, especially Prof. Tarek Bejaoui, Prof. Samy El-Tawab, Prof. Ahmad Salman Suat Özdemir and Prof. Alma Oracevic, and the James Madison University for hosting this conference.

Special thanks to Prof. Samy El-Tawab and Prof. Ahmad Salman for the laboratory visit and showcasing their latest projects.
Looking forward to future collaborations and advancements in this exciting field!
